Mordue Scholarship 2026: Congratulations Molly Moshier
The Norman A. Mordue Scholarship Fund is proud to announce its inaugural Scholarship Award recipient, Molly Moshier. A standout graduate of the Elmira High School Class of 2026, Moshier will attend Syracuse University this fall, where she plans to study Accounting and Pre-Law, directly following in the academic footsteps of the late Honorable Judge Norman A. Mordue.
Moshier graduated this past June as the Class Salutatorian and was selected for the award because she embodies the leadership qualities, strict discipline, and profound integrity that defined Judge Mordue’s life and career.
During her time at Elmira High School, Moshier built an extensive record of academic success and community involvement. She served as Senior Class Vice President, Junior Class Secretary, and Treasurer. Her leadership roles extended across multiple organizations, serving as the Event Coordinator for the National Honor Society, Treasurer for FCCLA, and as an active member of the Youth Court, Key Club, Academy of Finance, and the Yearbook Club. She was also a dedicated member of the Elmira Express Varsity Cheerleading squad and was recognized as one of the Rotary Club Top Ten students for the 2025–26 academic year.
Beyond her traditional coursework, Moshier sought out specialized training to better serve her community. She completed programs in Parks and Recreation Operations and the Academy of Finance. She also earned certifications in CPR and First Aid, and completed advanced training in Conflict Management, Mental Health First Aid, Mandated Reporter Training, Narcan administration, and Human Trafficking Awareness.

The Norman A. Mordue Scholarship Fund is a 501.c.3 Not-For-Profit Charitable Corporation dedicated to providing not only an annual Scholarship in The Honorable Judge Norman A. Mordue’s name as part of his legacy, but our goal is to raise a $10 million Endowment to provide higher education scholarships to every Elmira High School graduating senior demonstrating a commitment and the ability to complete College or an accredited Trade School.
